A film by Gabrielle Côté / 2025 / Experimental short film / 12 minutes / Canada
Montrealers enjoy parks, balconies, cafés, and bike paths, sharing a rich cultural diversity. But a truck loaded with orange traffic cones disrupts neighborhoods, leaving behind construction sites that reshape the city. Built heritage disappears, replaced by buildings so tall they plunge Montreal into shadow. In a cyberpunk era, the streets are dominated by AI towers that erase the last remnants of the past. A revolt calls for radical change. When everything collapses, nature reclaims its rights. Amid the ruins, a solarpunk community emerges, where life adapts to its environment.
